The Oak Park-River Forest Community Foundation:

-- is a charitable organization managing endowed funds to improve the lives of people in Oak Park-River Forest and other communities.

-- convenes community members to address opportunities and aspirations. Currently, our Communityworks priorities are the success of all youth, environmental sustainability and community leadership development.

-- combines charitable gifts with community knowledge, leadership and the ability to attract resources to provide grants and scholarships.

-- makes it easy for you to establish charitable funds, donate to existing funds, remember a loved one with a memorial gift or support a special project or field of interest.

-- manages more than 100 funds and endowments entrusted to our care Today, charitable assets we manage total more than $ 21 million. In addition,  the Foundation holds more than $28 million for others.

-- is a unique resource for you, for professional financial advisors, and for nonprofits. Together, we steward the community toward sustainability and
well-being.

The Oak Park-River Forest Community Foundation is the corporate trustee of The Russell Josephine Kott Memorial Charitable Trust. This Trust provides funding to charitable organizations that improve the livelihood of individuals, especially through education or medical services, with an emphasis on such services for the elderly.

PlanIt Green is commissioned by the Communityworks Partnership, engaging community residents and stakeholder organizations in implementation of a comprehensive plan to realize a sustainable Oak Park and River Forest."
 



The Future Philanthropist Program provides high school students with the opportunity to learn how to be philanthropists and grantmakers. Grants from the Future Philanthropist Fund are made on an annual cycle. Look for the next cycle in late 2013.
