INITIATIVES
Access to Recreation
Here is an opportunity to provide inclusive recreational opportunities and to build an endowed fund for future recreational needs through a matching grant from the Kellogg Foundation. Our Access to Recreation Fund provided support for recent renovations to Longfellow Park and in coordination with the Park District of Oak Park and West Suburban Special Recreation Association produced the first-ever Ability Awareness Day for day camp participants in Oak Park.

Communityworks
Communityworks is a community driven initiative supported by the Oak Park-River Forest Community Foundation engaging the community to identify aspirations and develop ways to achieve them. It is a commitment to address the success of all youth through quality education and to build an environmentally healthy community. It is also an opportunity to build endowed support for local nonprofits through a matching grant.
Women Leaders in Philanthropy
This is a select group of women who, over the years, have contributed significantly to philanthropy in our community. Becoming a member requires a one-time gift of $5000 or more, or a pledge that can be contributed in installments over the next five years. Each gift is an investment in our community's future.
