Women Leaders in Philanthropy began in
1995. Since then, women have contributed more than $1,800,000 to
help develop the unrestricted endowment of the Oak Park-River
Forest Community Foundation.
The Community Foundation's
endowment fund provides a renewable source of funding to support
organizations that serve all segments of our community, from small
emerging non-profit organizations to social service and cultural
institutions.

To become a Women Leader in Philanthropy,
you or someone in your name donates a minimum of $5000. An initial
gift of $1000 can also be made, with a pledge to donate a minimum
of an additional $1000 in each of the next four years. Memorial
gifts can be made as well. You can give in the name of someone
particularly influential in your life.
Recognizing the important role women have
in philanthropy, we honor those who contribute to building the
future of the Community Foundation through this initiative.
