WOMEN LEADERS IN PHILANTHROPY
Women Leaders in Philanthropy began in
1995 to recognize the impact women have on bettering the
quality of life in Oak Park and River Forest. Contributions
from Women Leaders in Philanthropy support the causes of the Oak
Park-River Forest Community Foundation.
By becoming a
member now, your contribution will support the
Communityworks partnership to:
- Encourage youth to grow and succeed
- Promote good environmental practices
- Develop future leaders

Mary Jo Schuler addresses a recent
gathering of Women Leaders in Philanthropy sharing her story
of connection to the community and how she came to be a
venture philanthropist.
To become a
Women Leader in Philanthropy, you or someone in your name donates
a minimum of $5000. An initial gift of $1000 can also be made,
with a pledge to donate a minimum of an additional $1000 in each
of the next four years. Memorial gifts can be made as well. You
can give in the name of someone particularly influential in your
life.
